Idyllic location

Tythegston village is an idyllic rural location only one mile from the coast and situated only 3 miles from Junction 37 of the M4.

This delightful village comprises a number of character cottages, all of which have been renovated to a very high standard. The village is in an ideal location for commuting to both Cardiff and Swansea (20 and 22 miles), and being only 3 miles from Bridgend inter-city train station is just two and a half hours from central London.

Tythegston has a delightful village atmosphere and has its own nursery school with a number of local and private schools within a 2 mile catchment area.

Idyllic location

The surrounding countryside is mainly undulating with the Welsh hills slowly rising towards the Brecon Beacons in the distance. Close by are areas of significant scientific interest which include large areas of sand dunes where walking and wildlife are superb.

Porthcawl is 2 miles from Tythegston and is a small seaside town boasting a number of magnificent beaches. There are many shops and local amenities including schools, churches, restaurants, leisure areas and a library. Porthcawl has tremendous character and like Tythegston is within an easy commute to both Cardiff and Swansea.

"If you want to get away from it all, a twenty-minute walk through woods and dunes brings you to the Heritage coastline east of Porthcawl."
